Yulia Novskaya

was born on May 24, in Belarus and was raised in a small village in Siberia. Growing up there, she found poetry as her first medium to express her connection with beauty and nature.

As a young woman, she emigrated from Russia to New York City. In 2013, after returning to New York from a trip to the Altai mountain region not far from her hometown village, she started painting. It was only upon seeing and feeling the contrast of the energy and the intersections between life in the big city and the essence of Siberian nature that brought the inspiration for her paintings. Each and every painting is connected to nature in one way or another and is a message to the bustling city in America from the very center of Eurasia. Yulia’s paintings are just a small reminder of how important our surroundings are and suggest the possibilities we feel for this planet. Her art is about uniting such elements as energy, consciousness, colors, spirituality and nature.

Yulia holds a university degree in Journalism from Altai State University, an Interior Design degree from Fashion Institute of Technology, and has worked in design for many years in New York. She has a strong passion for art, design and making everyday life more beautiful with the help of her collective experience, awareness and vision.
